Peace Fund
In the wake of the tragic loss of five soldiers in Aba, Abia State, South East Nigeria, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu paid a visit to the military and families of the slain soldiers.
He was deeply saddened, and in solidarity with the bereaved families, he took immediate action by announcing the launching of a peace fund under the Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, and Reintegration thematic area of PISE-P He made a donation of N10 million to the families of the fallen soldiers to kick-start the fund and also encouraged members of PISE-P to donate to the fund. They all responded without delay. This was how The Peace Fund raised its first N25Million in less than 2 hours.
Peace Fund was founded by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu and implemented by a group of passionate individuals who believe in the power of collective action, we strive to create a safer, more peaceful South East for all
